I’ve been in academia for years, 17 as a professor. The charges of PC language limiting debate are mostly correct. I didn’t mind when I was a leftoid, but then when I finally came to my senses, I realized how much the left dominated the academy. Higher ed will eventually become irrelevant if it continues to refuse to be open to real debate. Students are not dumb, they realize the difference between indoctrination and education. The PC [politically correct] world is one of sanctimonious indoctrination. Bad idea.

Rosie O’Donnell’s Bigoted Comments on Christianity

Bombastic Rosie O’Donnell has recently been hammered as a bigot for her comments on ‘The View’ that were incendiary towards Christians. And now a report from the New York Daily News claims that she’s making Elisabeth Hasselbeck cry.

Oh the humanity! O’Donnell said during some sort of discussion, “Radical Christianity is just as threatening as radical Islam in a country like America.”

That brought strong condemnation from the Rev. Rob Schenck, founder of Faith and Action, a Christian ministry on Capitol Hill, and according to EUR Web he responded in a statement:

“Miss O’Donnell’s comment was recklessly irresponsible and even dangerous. To equate ‘radical Christianity’ to mass murder is outrageous. A ‘radical Christian’ is one who takes his or her faith seriously – a faith that has as one of its primary tenets, ‘Blessed are the peacemakers.’”
